Sienar Fleet Systems TIE Phantom v2

Ok first things first, don't mistake this craft as the V-38 it's not!

This is the TIE Phantom, according to Star Wars Technical Commentaries the V-38 shares features with the TIE Phantom. The basic hull, engine and wing configurations of the V-38 are probably the same as the Phantom but the cockpit is certainly a standard TIE ball, attached to the main hull, rather than the makeshift conical alternative used on the transitional Phantom.

After the battle of Yavin and the destruction of the Death Star, the Rebels proved that they were a serious threat to the Empire. The Empire, forced to take that threat seriously, responded with new technology and weapons such as the Dark Trooper project and the TIE Phantom. The TIE Phantom research, under the direction of Admiral Sarn, was conducted in the Dreighton Nebula. The Nebula, the site of a major battle in the Old Republic was rumoured to be haunted and Spacer legends of ships disappearing within its boundaries were legion. This provided perfect cover for development of a top secret stealth starfighter.

The TIE Phantom packs greater than normal firepower for a starfighter of its class. However the main improvement of the ship was a cloaking device. With the stealth shield in place, short and long range delectability of the ship was almost nonexistent. Should the Phantom ever go into wide production, the Empire would gain a decisive advantage; however the cost of such fighters is prohibitive and Imperial High Command is reluctant to order a vast production run in the face of such expenses.

Note : It is very important for you to read the Installation Notes and Changing the Laser Hardpoints sections before installing this craft. Be it on your own head if you screw it up!

This Xmod will replace the craft you have installed in slot #33. Sorry but I thought this craft was good enough to be given its own slot, instead of you choosing which slot it is placed, so before installing, backup or allocate a different slot for your previous craft.

Sienar Fleet Systems TIE Lancer or TIE Torpedo Launcher v1

Based on the original design from the CG Movie Join the Empire by Marco Spitoni

The TIE Lancer also known as the TIE-TL (Torpedo Launcher) was designed and conceived by Marco Spitoni for 'Join the Empire'.

Little is known about the TIE Lancer, only that it's a powerful heavy fighter with an impressive array of weapons which included lasers, Ion cannons and torpedoes.

It comes with it's own cockpit, which has been redesigned to enhance the features of the exterior model.

All the other TIE's now have to be manually installed, the zip files include a MXvTED *shp file (Default slot #33), and for Advanced uses the BHE settings.

Although the NEW TIE's apart from the TIE Drone come with Base and Exterior Opt they do not come with the Cockpit Opt's.
For the Tie Defender Mk II the XWAUP Tie Defender cockpit will be used.
For the Raptor, Shadow's, Clutch, Vanguard, Lambda and Cyclone, the standard TIE Fighter Cockpit will be used, Copy the TieFighterCockpit.Opt and rename it to the appropriate name.

Sienar Fleet Systems Republic T.I.E. Fighter v2

The Republic TIE, is one of the oldest serving craft from Sienar Fleet Systems, used by the Old Republic it first saw service during the Clone Wars.

Armed only with 2 medium class lasers and lacking shields its agility made up for its weakness. The Republic TIE was often deployed in overwhelming numbers to compensate for its weakness.

After the Wars, production of the Republic TIE was brought to a halt, due to the takeover of Sienar Fleet Systems by the Empire and the introduction of faster craft.

In later year the Republic TIE, now an old craft can still be found in small numbers in remote Outer Rim Sectors, used by pirate clans.

Sienar Fleet Systems TIE Scimitar or Scimitar Assault Bomber v2

Twin Engines Version

Scimitar assault bombers are the newest generation of Imperial bombers and were ordered into production when (Grand Admiral Thrawn returned to seize control of the Empire's remnants. The ship is a dedicated atmospheric and spaces bomber with superior performance compared with the standard TIE bomber. It was designed with the assistance of the elite "Scimitar" bomber assault wing, the most decorated active Imperial bomber wing.

The bomber has a single pod with two elongated solar array wings unlike most Imperial vessels; the Scimitar is a two-man ship. The pilot and bomber compartment is in the forward section of the pod and can be quickly ejected from the main hull in the event of a critical hit by enemy gunners. This compartment extends ahead of the wings giving the pilot and bomber superior visibility compared with the TIE bomber.

The navigation and targeting systems, the power generator and the twin repulsorlift engines are housed in the middle of the pod. The repulsor thrusters are placed in the Scimitars wing struts for greater manoeuvrability. The rear portion of the pod contains the bomb bay and the sublight ion engine.

The bomb bay has room for sixteen concussion missiles each with an effective range of nine kilometres. Each warhead is powerful enough to destroy city buildings, reinforced bunkers, heavy repulsorlift speeders or even AT-AT walkers. While the Concussion missile loud is the standard weapon complement, proton grenades and free falling thermal detonators also can be loaded into the Scimitars bomb bays. The linked forward laser cannons have superior computer targeting for strafing runs against enemy troops and other ground targets.

Sienar Fleet Systems TIE GT v2

Primarily a ground targeting starfighter-Bomber, the TIE GT Fighter is a retrofitted TIE Starfighter used for carrying ordinance, but is being replaced by the newer TIE Bomber.

However like the TIE Bomber, compared to other TIE models, this fighter has an elongated hull, but unlike the TIE Bomber, precise targeting for the TIE GT is achieved through the use of the TIE fc, but most larger structures can be destroyed without its assistance.

This early version of the TIE Bomber still sees widespread service throughout Imperial Forces, especially in lower-priority deployments.

The Imperial Navy is transferring the TIE GT to outlying posts and to the Imperial Army as quickly as the datawork can be filed, however Imperial Army resistance and its legitimate lack of demand has slowed down the process considerably.

Although the TIE GT carries 12 Concussion Missiles as a standard payload, the missile launcher can handle other payloads such as: 6 Proton Torpedoes, 18 Air-Deployed Mines, 2 Cluster Bombs.

Note :

  • 1. The TIE GT comes with its own cockpit, please read the release note for installation
  • 2. The TIE GT being older than the TIE Bomber has the greyer hull plating.
  • 3. I wasn't sure from where the GT fired it's missiles from, so I comprised and made the lower section of the GT a missile launcher carrying 12 single missiles.
