Installation: This Patch will prompt you for the location of the
game (where to install the patch), so have this information
available before double-clicking on the Patch file.
WINDOWS 95
Double-click on the
"reb18.exe" file to begin the installation.
DOS
In this example, we
have Rebel Assault installed on our "C"
drive and in the "Rebel" directory. Type
"reb18.exe c:\Rebel" and hit the ENTER key.
Before the decompression process can begin, you will
receive a prompt that states "Unzip file? [Y|N]",
hit the "Y" key to continue.
Corrects: This
patch is intended to fix "Unexpected Interrupt"
errors, joystick jumpiness, running on dark monitors,
running sound cards at dma 0, and some dos extender
incompatibilities.
- Unexpected Interrupts To fix Unexpected Interrupt
errors that occur on some machines when running
Rebel Assault version 1.0, this patch includes version
1.8 of DOS4GW, which will be copied into the REBEL\
directory on your C: drive. This replaces version
1.92, which shipped with Rebel Assault 1.0. Version
1.8 seems more compatible with some machines. However,
if you have new problems after installing this patch,
you can copy DOS4GW.EXE from your CD and run the
patch as directed to take advantage of the joystick
fix only.
- Joystick Patch To fix joystick jumpiness, this
patch includes a new version of ASSAULT.EXE, which
will be copied to the REBEL\ directory on your C:
drive. In addition, the joystick shooting controls
have been made less sensitive. If you still have
joystick problems, make sure only one joystick port
is enabled on your machine, preferably the one on
your sound card. Also, Centre. the trimmer adjustments
on your joystick to make sure you are using its
full range of movement.
- Brightness controls in addition, the new ASSAULT.EXE
contains a brightness control, which you can access
during the game with the '.' and ',' keys.
- Running with more that 16 Megabytes of memory
This disk also contains DOS4GW version 1.95, which
may fix problems running Rebel on some machines
with more than 16 megabytes of memory. Install this
version by typing "rebel2" as described
below.
Notes: Now in
the future, run the game by typing "REBEL"
from the REBEL directory on your C: drive, NOT from
your CD drive.

Patch Features:
Installation: IMPORTANT: If you are using a 3D card that is already
supported by the 1.0 version of the game (cards using
the 3Dfx, Rendition Verite 1000, and Permedia 2 chipsets),
we recommend that you do NOT copy over the Shadows.exe
file as you may encounter problems if you do so. However,
the fix for the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback
may still be used by simply copying the Shadowff.dll
file into the SDATA folder.
When you run the self-executable
file, it will create a new folder; C:\Shadows. There
will be five files in it; Shadows.exe, Shadowff.dll,
Shadows.doc, Shadows.txt and Readme.txt. After the
folder is created, you will need to copy the appropriate
file(s) into the directory where you originally installed
Shadows of the Empire. The default location is C:\Program
Files\LucasArts\Shadows.

Star Wars Battlefront II takes the best-selling Star Wars video game of all time one Imperial-walker step forward with all-new space combat, playable Jedi, and never-before-seen environments straight out of the Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith film. Fans of the original Star Wars Battlefront will also enjoy an all-new single-player experience that takes players through an epic, story-based saga where every action the player takes impacts the battlefront and, ultimately, the fate of the Star Wars galaxy.
Star Wars Battlefront II improves upon the original game's single-player experience with open-ended, mission-based objectives inspired from all six Star Wars films. The compelling storyline spans more than 12 new locations, many from Episode III, including volcanic Mustafar and the space battle above Coruscant. All-new classic movie moments complete the Star Wars Battlefront II experience, as players battle within the interior of the Death Star and visit Princess Leia's blockade runner, the Tantive IV, as seen at the beginning of Episode IV A New Hope. In addition, at certain key moments within the battles, players can feel the Force as a Jedi.
For the first time ever, Star Wars Battlefront II players can engage in space combat and, during the same battle, board enemy ships to attack from within. Starting on foot inside a capital ship, players can enter the spacecraft of their choice and travel into space to dogfight with the rival faction. From there, they can dock within the enemy's capital ship, overtake the ship's command posts, man its turrets to disable its shields and destroy it from within! Or, they can simply stay inside their own capital ship and defend it from attacks and ene | | | |
