Vehicles

There are seven different playable vehicles in Battle of Naboo, not including the three special vehicles. These seven vehicles all vary in looks, speed, and their type: some are ground repulsorlift vehicles, others are starfighters, and there is also one water vehicle.

Air Vehicles

Naboo N-1 Starfighter

The Naboo N-1 Starfighter is the primary ship you'll be using on your missions. After you steal it, the N-1 replaces the Police Cruiser as your primary flier. The N-1 is the only vehicle available with an astromech droid, meaning that if you can avoid getting damaged for long enough, your vehicle can be fully repaired to green or blue status. If you get repeated damage, Sykes will shout 'My droid is damaged!' While this message does not mean anything, it's a warning that your droid will soon be completely broken unless you take it easy. If Sykes shouts 'I've lost my droid!' Then you will no longer recieve any repairs. N-1s are armed with 10 proton torpedos as well.

Police Cruiser

Before stealing back a squad of N-1s, you're stuck with using the police cruiser. This ship lacks the astromech droid of a Naboo Starfighter, and is also much weaker, slower, and less maneuverable than the N-1. Police Cruisers come with 6 proton torpedos.

Naboo Bomber

The powerful Naboo Bomber is similar in design to other craft. The primary blaster weapon of the bomber is a standard laser. The Bomber has a single laser which is slow and very weak, meaning airborne attacks should be avoided, not persued. The highlight of the bomber is it's capacity to store enery bombs. The bombs regenerate after some time to a maximum of six. Bombs can be used to destroy ground targets and have a very wide range. Fly as high as you can when using bombs to avoid injury.

Heavy STAP

While the normal STAP is used for reconnaisance and exploration, the Heavy STAP is more suited for war. Heavy STAPS are less maneuverable and slower than standard STAPS but are equipped with extra armour and extra weapons, including missiles. STAPS are probably the worst of the Speeders, as they are slow but not as powerful as the Gian Speeder. STAPs can carry missiles.

Gian Speeder

The Gian Speeder is a heavy ground vehicle which emphisizes more on strength rather than mobility. The Gian is slow, but extremely powerful. Normal fire uses the speeder's two primary laser cannons, while the secondary fire discharges the speeder's powerful third laser which is much more effective. Alternate between the secondary fire and the primary fire to get most out of the attack. Hold down the accelleration button constantly to increase speed, and use Z to target where you want to fire. The secondary fire can be held down to charge it for an extra powerful attack.

Flash Speeder

While the Gian Speeder focouses on power, the Flash Speeder is meant for speed. The flash speeder is quick and efficient. It is lightly equipped with shields and a single but fast blaster cannon. Secondary fire discharges more powerful missiles, however, you have a magazine of six to spend before you run out.

Trade Federation Gunboat

The Federation Gunboat is a ship used to explore and conquer the swamps of Naboo. The Gunboat is a hardy vehicle which proves to have thick shielding. The Gunboat fires a strong blast from it's cannon which is equivalent to the secondary fire of the Gian Speeder. The secondary fire of the Gunboat are projectiles, which are equivalent to missiles or proton torpedos in damage. Hold down Z to take aim at targets, such as mines, without moving. The Gunboat, however, proves to be very slow in waters. Hold down the acceleration to increase speed in open areas.
