Texture your model like Darksaber
In the rotational texturing tutorial created by Darksaber you can learn how to rotate and apply your texture perpendicular to a small group of polygon using Ace DXF.

According to this tutorial I need to rotate and apply my texture 12 times just for the faces pointed by the green arrows.

After the first series is completed I need to restart for the second

I need to do the same procedure one more time for the faces pointed
by the orange arrows. Finally, this increase the look but it's so long, so looooong.
And if you make a mistake ...
Now if I use the techniques I have discovered using nurbs surface, I just need
to texture one nurbs surface, create a polygon mesh from this surface and to
apply the same texture to all other face I use a very funny function called
ARRAY POLAR. This is very fast, you create your polygon
mesh and apply texture on it like Darksaber at the same
time. Time needed by Rhino to do this operation : 1/4
seconds.
And according to this screen shots the technique seem to work.
